Modeling Effective Research Ethics Education in Graduate International Collaborations: A Learning Outcomes Approach

The Council of Graduate Schools is conducting a new, three-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) on research ethics in international collaborations. The project brings together two areas of CGS best practice research, scholarly and research integrity and graduate international collaborations, to better prepare graduate students to navigate the complex issues that arise in the context of international research.

    Graduate International Collaborations Project

CGS was awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation  to study international collaborations in graduate education, including joint- and dual-degrees and student and faculty exchange programs. Findings from the project have provided institutional leaders and faculty with strategies for successful creation and participation in  international collaborative opportunities, especially in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields. Please visit the project webpage for more information on research data, project-related presentations, resources, and other useful information about graduate international collaborations.

    Graduate Education 2020

"Graduate Education 2020" was launched in 2006 to mark the twentieth anniversary of the CGS/GRE Enrollment and Degrees Survey. This partnership between CGS and ETS supports a major international conversation that will evolve over a decade on the future of graduate education.

Strategic Leaders Global Summit on Graduate Education

There are clear signs that graduate research and scholarship have become truly global activities: faculty and graduate students are responding to questions of global scope, collaborating with international networks of researchers, and producing knowledge that circulates worldwide. In this environment, graduate leaders are seeking to prepare their institutions for new opportunities and challenges. The Strategic Leaders Global Summit on Graduate Education supports these efforts by providing a forum for active discussion and collaboration.
